Not so April Favorites
Currently Ive been super busy as a college freshmen. So makeup has unfortunately gone on the back burner slightly while Ive been figuring out what exactly I want to be doing for the rest of my life. Ive been going for quite a natural and quick look just so I don't scare anybody haha. I guess I will just take you through what I put on my face on the daily since that is basically what my favorite beauty products of the month have been.
Here we go...
First of all Ive been loving to just put on this Garnier BB cream, no primer or concealer. I have the light/medium shade that is for oily/combo skin. This gives pretty decent coverage, I would say about light to medium. If you have any big red blemishes you will definitely need a concealer to completely hide them. This being said it is the highest coverage BB cream I've tried as far as the drugstore goes and doesn't make me super greasy within the first two hours. I top this off with the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in 001 Transparent, so that it stays in place all day long. With this combo I don't need to even touch up throughout the day which is amaze being a super busy college kid. This would also be great for moms that are always on the go or anyone that has oily skin and does not have time to be fussing with reapplying makeup throughout the day. After that I put my brows on, I usually just use clear mascara but recently I've been in love with this Milani brow kit in 01 Light. I use the lighter shade for the inner half of my brow then the darker color for the tail/ outer part, to create a very natural look. Next I put on my gel liner, the Loreal Lacquer Liner in extreme black. Wow this liner is super super black, I think I've even been likening it better than my M.A.C Blacktrack. If anyone would like a review or product vs product with these I would gladly do it. After that I curl my lashes with my Tweezerman eyelash curler and put on my mascara, the Rimmel Lash Accelerator mascara, which is supposed to help your lashes grow with its "Avec Grow-Lash Complex", I don't know about all that but it is a good lengthening mascara. Lastly I apply my Rimmel Lash Accelerator baked bronzer. This gives a beautiful bronzy glow to the skin so I don't feel like I even have to put on blush or a highlight. The BB cream, pressed powder and bronzer are all applied with the E.L.F powder brush. I love this brush because it is so multipurpose because of its synthetic bristles you can use it for liquids and creams as well as powders. And I am done, this might seem excessive for a "quick face" but this is what I feel most comfortable with so its what I do. You can leave me any request on futures posts that you would like me to do as well as any other comment or feedback you would like to leave, it would all be greatly appreciated!
XOXO, Steph
March Loves
So these are some of my favorite beauty products this month, and heres a little bit about each...
*Cover Fx pressed mineral powder foundation: I would say its the acne friendly version of studio fix powder foundation, which I loved but noticed that after a few days of use I would get red bumps across my cheeks and forehead. This on the other hand gives the exact same coverage and lasting power without the irritation or the acne.
*Makeup Forever 5 camouflage cream palette No.1: Seriously have had this thing for at least a year and still have a decent amount of product left. My favorite, most used would have to be the orange-ish color(the one right next to the green) it is like a corrector and helps cancel out any darkness under the eye. Also the lightest color (first one) is amazing for putting over the orange-ish and makes you look so so bright and awake.
*Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara: Really nice at seperating defining and lengthening and gives decent volume. Overall a “natural” looking mascara which is something Ive been loving lately!
*Kat Von D tattoo liner: Love!Love!Love! Amazing staying power…already have a review on it, check it out if your interested.
XOXO, Steph
